i literally love my cat so much, that’s why i ensure that he is free.
I love when people use the predatory animals argument for not allowing cats outside. like uh unless deer suddenly hunt cats that does not at all convince to keep my cats indoors.
oh so will the fact that indoor cats have significantly longer lifepans on average than outdoor cats convince you? Or the fact that outdoor cats are destroying local ecosystems and bird populations? Or the fact that there are much more risks including but not limited to: disease, poisoning, getting run over by cars, attacked by dogs or other predators (honey I just want you to know just cause you’ve only seen deer- because they’re durinal animals- doesn’t mean theyre the only animals where you live) anyway what’s it like being this much of a clown
maybe consider that whether letting your cat outside is bad miiight depend on where you live? I mean I guess… I could run my own cat over? but that ain’t likely? or I guess my dog could attack my cats? but he could do that indoors as well, not that it’d happen though. and what would they get poisoned by? lmao? and destroying bird populations? my cats are too bust catching rats, preventing them for overpopulating.
also, don’t call me honey. and I’m pretty damn sure I know what wild animals live here. lol.
people trying to justify leaving their cats outside: ok first of all i live in a fantasy world where there are no predators not even raccoons or snakes. secondly my cats only eat invasive species because they can tell the difference and DONT eat endangered small mammals or birds. they also only eat rats that arent full of parasites and disease (i taught them this) also there are no humans around for miles so they could never get hurt by a human (also no roads, i live on mars) keeping them outside is my only option because i dont have a house. who cares if theyll live shorter lives. im very smart

Also, literally everything @chickenkeeping said. And poisons? It’s called lilies, onions, any dozens of other toxic plants, antifreeze, motor oil, and asshole humans. Pretty sure you also have hawks and owls which love to eat cats.
Foxes too. I know people who lost a cat to foxes. Plus other cats can attack your cat or transmit disease to you. A rat bite can get infected. Just. Keep your cats in a safe, contained space. (Which can also include a garden you know they can’t escape.)
@chickenkeeping have you heard of England?? Where there are literally no raccoons or snakes (at least where I live)?? And outdoor cats are a very common occurrence and 90% of the time you walk down the street you will see at least 1 cat??
